Water Heater Replacement
Water Heaters comes in various sizes and types, and it would be difficult installing one if you do not have any space prepared for it. Now, you will learn about the different places you can place your water heaters.
Water heaters have two main types: the conventional water heater and the tankless water heater. Conventional water heaters are the traditional type which has a tank that stores water in it, while tankless are the opposite.
While both have their respectful advantages and disadvantages, you should choose on what your family needs best.

tanked water heaters

Tanked water heaters are generally big and needs a tad bit of space for its tank. You will have to refill that tank and clean it regularly so sediments will not build up. These re generally more affordable than tankless water heaters.

tankless water heaters

Tankless water heaters, on the other hand, do not occupy that much space due to the absence of a tank. They can save more energy than tanked water heaters, though.
Now, the size depends heavily on the water usage and the number the people who will be using the hot water. Consider the following:
  • One to two people generally needs a 30-gallon water heater.
  • Two to three would opt for a 40-gallon water heater.
  • Three to four needs a 40 to 50 gallon.
  • Five to eight can go for 50 up to 80 gallon.

location wise

Water heaters are generally in the basement, attic or the garage since they may take up a lot of space. Consider the size first before installing. Tankless water heaters, though, usually will not have a problem in terms of installation, to which you can easily put them under the sink, bathrooms, under the stairs or even in closets.
Keep in mind that your water heater should not be exposed to places that are prone to freezing, rain, direct sunlight, moisture and dust since it can damage it.
